Twenty to thirty minutes. Three of them go down through an endoscope under sedation and are filled in place; the Allurion you swallow with a glass of water. Plastic Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery
Dr Emre G. qualified in medicine at Uludağ University in 2007 and completed his specialist training in plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery at Bezmialem Vakıf University between 2008 and 2014, with a research post at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. He has worked in both public hospitals and private practice, and the reconstructive half of that training shows in how he plans an aesthetic case. He practises at Natural Clinic in Istanbul.

A gastric balloon is a soft, expandable balloon placed inside the stomach and filled so that it takes up space. With less room for food, you feel full sooner and eat smaller portions. It is a temporary, non-surgical weight loss treatment that is removed or passed after a set period.
A gastric balloon may suit adults with a BMI from around 27, depending on the balloon type, who have struggled to lose weight with diet and exercise and prefer a non-surgical option. Previous stomach surgery or certain digestive conditions may make it unsuitable.
Some gastric balloons are placed and removed using an endoscope under sedation, while others are swallowed as a capsule and filled through a thin tube. The type recommended depends on your BMI, goals and medical history, and it affects how long the balloon stays in place.
