Botulinum toxin injected into the muscle of the stomach wall, which relaxes it and slows how fast the stomach empties. Food stays put longer, so you feel full sooner and for longer. Nothing occupies space, because nothing is placed.

Fifteen to twenty minutes. An endoscope is passed under mild sedation and botulinum toxin is injected at several points into the muscular wall of the stomach, most often the antrum, where the grinding and emptying happens. The muscle relaxes, the stomach empties more slowly, and appetite falls. There is no incision, nothing to remove later, and no permanent change — the toxin is metabolised and the effect fades over four to six months.
BMI between 27 and 35, particularly where portion size rather than sheer volume is the problem. Above 35 it is the wrong tool and we will say so.

Plastic Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery
Dr Emre G. qualified in medicine at Uludağ University in 2007 and completed his specialist training in plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery at Bezmialem Vakıf University between 2008 and 2014, with a research post at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. He has worked in both public hospitals and private practice, and the reconstructive half of that training shows in how he plans an aesthetic case. He practises at Natural Clinic in Istanbul.

Gastric botox is a non-surgical weight loss procedure in which botulinum toxin is injected into the muscle of the stomach wall during an endoscopy. The injections relax the stomach muscle, slowing how quickly food empties, so you tend to feel full sooner and for longer after smaller meals.
Gastric botox is generally considered for people with a BMI of roughly 27 to 35 who want support with portion control but do not need, or do not want, permanent surgery. It is also sometimes chosen by people who want to start losing weight before deciding on further treatment.
Gastric botox involves no incisions and no removal of stomach tissue; its effect wears off after several months. A gastric sleeve permanently removes most of the stomach. Botox is a temporary aid for moderate weight loss, while a sleeve is a lifelong change for higher BMI levels.
